The Gearshifter outfit has that greasy mechanic look that fits right in if you are running explosives or heavy gear, like you have just crawled out from under a broken walker. The Memorialist backpack is a bit more subtle, with engraved details that light up under ARC glow, which is great if you like matching your look to the lore. There is also a goofy Spit emote that is perfect for winding up your mates in the lobby before you drop. On top of that, linking your account is kind of a no-brainer now, since the Nvidia Electrician Backpack: Emerald Wave drops in for free and at least gives you a clean, themed look without grinding for it.
Cold Snap Event And Expedition Reset
Looking a few days ahead, the Cold Snap event starting on 16 December should shake up how people play even familiar routes. Snowfall changes visibility a lot, so you will get those weird moments where you hear a squad before you ever spot them through the flurries. The Flickering Flames questline and the new Raider Deck give you something concrete to work through instead of just farming the same runs on autopilot. If you are around for the Expedition reset between 17 and 22 December, it is worth opting in just for the long-term perks. Patchwork Raider as a skin is nice, but the stash space and repair bonuses that carry over into later runs are what really help when you are trying to keep multiple builds ready without drowning in maintenance costs.

The one thing that has not changed is how long it can take to pull together the gear you want if you are busy with work or family and can only squeeze in a few runs at night, so a lot of players look for ways to shortcut the grind a bit, whether that is stacking efficient squads, watching routes or even grabbing extra resources or ARC Raiders Battle pass progress from outside services to get into top-tier blueprints like Aphelion faster and spend more time actually fighting, less time staring at timers and upgrade screens.
